Neighborhood for Businesses

Residents in your service area use the DLM Neighborhood app to ask for trusted local pros. Here is exactly how your business shows up there, and how you respond, all from your DealMate Business Portal.

1NEIGHBORS TALK, YOUR NAME COMES UP

Residents ask, neighbors tag your business

When a resident posts something like "anyone have a pest control company they trust?", neighbors answer by tagging businesses they have used. A tag links straight to your business page, so one good job can turn into the whole street knowing your name.

You do not have to do anything for this to happen. Every DLM member business automatically has a page in the app, and residents can tag it in posts and comments.

Real example: Annihilation Pest Control in Buckeye, WV was tagged by a neighbor and now carries a 5.0 rating on its page from resident recommendations.

2YOUR PAGE COLLECTS IT ALL

Ratings, recommendations, and followers live on your page

Your page shows your rating, every neighbor recommendation, and your responses. Residents can follow your page to see your updates, and they can leave a star rating with a written recommendation after you do work for them.

Your page also appears in the app directory for the areas you serve, so residents browsing for your category find you even when nobody tagged you.

Real example: the recommendation "Great customer service, all my bugs are dead" on Annihilation Pest Control's page came from a verified resident, and the owner's reply appears right under it.

3YOU RESPOND FROM YOUR PORTAL

Reply to every recommendation from your DealMate portal

You do not sign into the Neighborhood app itself. The app sign-in is for residents. Instead, sign into your DealMate Business Portal with your business phone number and open the Neighborhood card.

From there you see your followers, mentions, and rating, plus every recommendation residents have left. You can post one response per recommendation, and you can edit it any time. A prompt public thank-you is the cheapest marketing you will ever do.

Real example: Garage Up Frisco - Plano earned a 5 star review that reads "Best garage remodeling. Great service, highly recommended," and responding takes about thirty seconds from the portal.

4PUBLISH UPDATES TO YOUR AREAS

Put an update in front of the neighborhoods you serve

Paid member businesses can publish up to two announcements per month. Each one is reviewed by our team, then shown to residents in the ZIP codes you serve, right in their neighborhood feed. Followers of your page are notified when it goes live.

Good announcements read like a neighbor talking: a seasonal special, new openings in the schedule, or a service you just added.

Example: a lawn care company like West Lawn Service LLC in Fort Myers can announce "12 new weekly slots for streets in your area this month" and it lands in the feeds of the exact neighborhoods it services.

Quick answers

The Neighborhood app only lets me sign in as a resident. Where do businesses go?
That is by design. The app is the resident side. Businesses manage everything from the DealMate Business Portal: sign in at dealmate.ai with your business phone number, then open the Neighborhood card on your dashboard.
Do I have to create my business page?
No. Every DLM member business gets a page automatically, built from your business profile. Keep your profile current in the portal (services, city, ZIP) and your page stays current too.
What is included with membership?
Your page, appearing in the directory and in resident tags, and responding to recommendations are all included. Publishing announcements and sponsored placement are for paid member businesses.
Can residents contact me through the app?
Residents find you through tags, your page, and the directory, then reach you through your DealMate profile. Completed jobs and offers flow through the same DealMate pipeline you already use.
How do I get more recommendations?
Ask. After a good job, ask the resident to recommend you on the Neighborhood app. One tagged mention in a busy street conversation regularly outperforms paid ads.
